At least from a senior citizen’s point of view.Let’s take a good look at hospitals ,Shall we? First of all, hospitals don’t care, why should they? what are you going to do? where are you going to find a lawyer to take the case? The Government has made it law that there is a cap on malpractice, Lawyers always end of with half or better so it isn’t worth suing. Half of three hundred thousand is only one hundred and fifty thousand and they have staff to pay, expert witnesses to consult, it is just not worth their time.

Hospitals operate to make money . The days of Sisters of Charity are over! Catholics even make big money now. They can work understaffed, poor labor, cheap food and no special dietary menues. Heck, they don’t even give patients baths or toothbrushes anymore! No bedding, pillows or blankets for the beds,  Instead they give you a wedge of foam for a pillow and a bath blanket for bedding! Lot’s of tests , lot’s of medications. Make money. make money, make money! They hire special management companies to trim the so called fat and increase the profits.

Next we have phycisians. Do you ever see a Doctor anymore? Do you ever actually see one? Unless it is a specialist you most likely won’t.

Now days, everything is a Family Practice where there are several Nurse Practioners  ( N.P.’s) who take cases and the Doctor or Doctors who own the family practice only take cases  with the largest possibility of bigger money. Let me explain. This is my experience with providers. Most Doctors don’t want to be tied up with colds and flu, sprains amd fractures, diabetes monitoring or simple hypertension cases. Nor do they want to deal with common thyroid cases, Afib or the likes. You get referred to a specialist in many cases.  There are no more referral fees, however there are promotional fees for promoting specific medications. Nice little fees. Is this starting to seem like a coincidence yet?? Hmmm? 

You see NP’s can write prescriptions, order tests, or bloodwork and five of them all working in the same practice makes for  a very nice little profit. There are the Doctors who have their own family practices. They make money with other add-on ventures, like medical spas and  medical beauty products.

There are even some practitioners like chiropracters who sell vitamins, supplements, pillows and other add-ons. It has become almost impossible to find a Doctor who takes patients and has hospital privileges. No big money there!

The newest trend now seems to be, medical senior centers. It is an all in one center where seniors can go get checked every single month! Following is my own experience; Usually they get a new prescription or test each month. While they wait in the lobby, there are candy bars, potato chips, cookies and soda etc. for the patients to snack on all for free. A very large majority of seniors are Hypertensive or diabetic, Talk about job security! That is the best I have ever seen.

They even have posters on the wall that state if you need to go to the ER, call the center first! When you do call they have no one there! But, they get paid for first contact assuming they made the referral. It pushes them way up on the scale for best care.

Then there is a community room, supposedly for senior activities, However there were no activities in the five months I went there. However They did have Uber drivers to come get you and take you home! They really knew how to bilk Medicare. 

Now we will look at the specialists who  all have a special niche.  For instance there are Retina specialists. It seems every patient who walks into their office seems to need an eye injection, Not just one, but a series of them for a year or sometimes more.Only, they don’t tell the patient that small detail when they first get them started. 

In fact, they don’t tell the patient many small detais! For instance these shots cost medicare seven hundred and thirty five dollars (735.00) a pop. You will have to get these shots every single month. They also do not share with you this important fact.

Also these shots can cause some of the patients to lose sight in the eye where they received those shots. These shots can often cause higher eye pressure and contribute to Glaucoma where there was none previously.

 These are absolute facts, They do not lie, they just do not tell the truth, They use words like the shots COULD help or MAY help or MIGHT help. these are the trick words, be wary of them, They are playing Russian Roulette with their patients all for the glory of making big money! We now come to the latest and greatest  trend of all!  Functional specialists. These specialists can cost three hundred and fifty dollars ($ 350.00) per visit! Why? Wait till you read this!

These specialists can actually help you to be cured. They help you learn to eat right, exercise, sleep well, manage stress, understand vitamins and supplements, recognize your emotions, and explore other essential life categories. You know, what we now call holistic medicine and old-fashioned common sense! Now wait a moment! Isn’t that the way it used to be, not so many years ago, like 50 to 60 years ago?  Not for nothing, but I think we’ve been duped for a couple of decades.

The medical Mafia has led us around in a complete circle. Who is that?? That is the alliance of Insurance companies and Big Pharma!  Big Pharma and Insurance companies have bled us till it hurts. We have fallen for all their plain bull crap, and it is time for us to stop being living specimens.  I am here to tell you we need to take accountability for our own Healthcare.

My husband and I have been on that medical carousel, and with my medical background and common sense, plus research, we were able to get off the merry-go-round and take responsibility for our own healthcare.
